"The name One6 comes from the post code in South West London that I grew up in - SW16 (Streatham Vale) My love for UK garage started here in 2001 when I first listened to Oxide and Neutrino’s Album Execute (on tape) going to school. 

 

After that I started listening to pirate radio stations like Delight FM 103.00 and Flight FM recording sets from the likes of Pay as you go, East connection, So Solid and heartless Crew on TDK tapes.

 

I got my first pair of decks at 15 and started DJing in my bedroom with my friends hanging out in record shops like Big Apple in Croydon, Slammin Vynle in Kingston and A&D records in Mitcham.

 

I then started playing at house parties till I was old enough to get into bars and clubs, fast forward 15 years and Ive been lucky enough to have played out at bars and clubs all over the world and hosted shows on some incredible radio stations."
